PASA House Concert Series

One of the longest running house concert series in the Philadelphia Area, for more than 20 years, PASA has presented its members in a true house concert setting. Since its creation by Rob Lincoln in 2000, more than 150 different performers have performed as a co-headliner.

Each concert features three PASA members as co-headliners, plus 8 to 12 "Open Chair" performers. Anyone who wants to play an original song can be an Open Chair performer. These shows are in round robin format, one song at a time and the Open Chair slots not only begin the show but also occur at the end of every round. There are usually seven rounds with an intermission in the middle.

NOTE: Doors open 30 minutes before concert start time. Please arrive early so we can start on time!

Performers:

Rick Denzien

Rick Denzien is a Philadelphia-area singer-songwriter and Zero Emission Musician, touring 100% electric in his Tesla while blending heartfelt folk with eco-stories. His award-winning songs, some Grammy-nominated, mix love, life, and climate hope, perfect for an intimate house concert, warm and unplugged.

Night Ride Home

Night Ride Home is the singer-songwriter duo Brian Huff and Mary DeAngelis. Their music reflects a human-centered perspective, grounded in empathy, introspection, and lived experience. Some of their songs live in protest -- addressing subjects like school shootings, deportation, and injustice -- while others are deeply personal, comforting, and reflective. Whether telling a story, exploring a new style, or zeroing in on something very specific, their music is designed to help listeners look inward and see the world from a new perspective. They do this by being precise and intentional with the writing -- carefully crafting lyrics, hooks, melodies, and rhythms that are catchy, soothing, and emotionally resonant.

Terry Rivel

Terry Rivel writes songs about folk heroes, dates from hell, as well as songs about ordinary people, some living and some gone. There are warm vocals and strong guitar style, blending folk, country, pop, bluegrass, and rockabilly. Poignant songs and lots of humor in his performances, too! Terry's most recent CD, "Broken People", has received airplay nationally.

You: The fourth performer can be YOU! The first eight (or so) performers to sign up at the show will sing one original song as part of the concert. This is an extra special OPEN STAGE SHOWCASE OPPORTUNITY, so bring along any instruments you'll want to play. The first people to arrive get to sign up first. The open stage slots often fill up, so come early to get a slot.
