PASA House Concert Series

One of the longest running house concert series in the Philadelphia Area, for more than 20 years, PASA has presented its members in a true house concert setting. Since its creation by Rob Lincoln in 2000, more than 150 different performers have performed as a co-headliner.

Each concert features three PASA members as co-headliners, plus 8 to 12 "Open Chair" performers. Anyone who wants to play an original song can be an Open Chair performer. These shows are in round robin format, one song at a time and the Open Chair slots not only begin the show but also occur at the end of every round. There are usually seven rounds with an intermission in the middle.

Performers:

Sara Chodak

Sara Chodak is a 14-year-old Philadelphia-based songwriter who is driven by emotion and the world around her. She has an eclectic mix of grungy punk, traditional folk, and rebellious rock. She ties her music together with just an acoustic guitar and raw lyrics. The stories woven throughout her songs derive from inspiration from the people she sees, the places she’s been, and all of the unembellished emotions she has felt. Sara was invited to the Northeast Regional Folk Alliance Conference in 2016, and was honored to be one of the first to receive the Grassy Hill Youth Scholarship. For Sara, every day is a new adventure with her guitar, and her love for writing and playing music is continually growing.

Lori Citro

Lori Citro is one of Delaware's most celebrated singer-songwriter-pianists. She was named a DE. Division of Arts fellow in 2007, as well as Best Female Singer/Songwriter on 93.7 WSTW Hometown Heroes show and nominated the last 3 years running for WSTW, Sparks magazine, and Out & About. She received an ASCAPplus award for 2008 and 2009. Lori was also nominated in 9 categories on the ABC-affiliated online global show Fame Games for her song, "Believe In Love." You: The fourth performer can be YOU! The first eight (or so) performers to sign up at the show will sing one original song as part of the concert. This is an extra special OPEN STAGE SHOWCASE OPPORTUNITY, so bring along any instruments you'll want to play. The first people to arrive get to sign up first. The open stage slots often fill up, so come early to get a slot.
