PASA FAWM SHOWCASE CONCERT

FAWM stands for "February Album Writing Month", an annual internet-phenomenon.

Each February, the FAWM web site forges a collaborative community of thousands of musicians worldwide, from all walks and skill levels, who take on the challenge of writing at least 14 songs -- an album's worth of new music in the shortest month of the year. There are writing challenges and games, feedback posts from other participants, opportunities to network with creative people internationally, and thousands upon thousands of songs to view (as lyrics only) or listen to.

This February, several PASA members wrote all-new material during FAWM, and at this concert they will perform a sampling of their FAWM-songs in a round-robin show. Come out, give a listen, and find out more about FAWM!

Lori Citro

Lori Citro is one of Delaware's most celebrated singer-songwriter-pianists. She was named a DE. Division of Arts fellow in 2007, as well as Best Female Singer/Songwriter on 93.7 WSTW Hometown Heroes show and nominated the last 3 years running for WSTW, Sparks magazine, and Out & About. She received an ASCAPplus award for 2008 and 2009. Lori was also nominated in 9 categories on the ABC-affiliated online global show Fame Games for her song, "Believe In Love." John Hudome

John Hudome is a singer-songwriter whose style crosses-over into blues, acoustic rock, country, and folk. John has performed in bands, duos, and trios over the years. He most enjoys the challenge of solo performing. John first performed solo at the age of 13 (he was too young to know he should have been scared). He hopes that his music is something that people can connect with and enjoy. John has dabbled in banjo, piano, and percussion, but his love has always been the guitar, especially acoustic.

Nancy Huebner

Nancy Huebner is a native of Philadelphia but has been living in Delaware for several years. She was a classical vocal performance major at Temple University until she took an elective in pop songwriting and decided that was much more fun. Her piano-based songs range from pure musical theater to pop to what has been described as "urban confessional cabaret". She has performed full-length concerts of her pieces and lately has been making appearances at local open mics to showcase new songs.

Marc Kaye

Marc Kaye is a singer-songwriter from the Philadelphia area who has been writing music since junior high school. His passion is the piano and tunes that grab you with their lyrical intent while hooking you with a simple but memorable memory. Often autobiographical in nature, Marc's songs border on the confessional and pick up on themes of love, loss, and the emotional DNA of the vulnerability of human relationships. In addition to songwriting, Marc is also a writer and stand-up comedian (though you'd never guess from his music!).

Rob Lincoln

"Typical" or "predictable" are two words that do not describe Rob Lincoln. Whether it's "Alferd Packer", "Cat Got My Tongue Won't Give It Back", "Hrumph", "Purple Shoes", "Two Darrens", or his lesser-known "I Saw Horses Kneeling In Prayer To Mr. Ed", Rob as a solo artist has become best known for his original off-beat songs. But there are many other sides to the man who has written over 500 songs. Historic ballads, impressionistic poeticism, surrealistic imagery, grungy garage rock, fingerpicking folk, social commentary, and really catchy non-generic pop tunes are all part of his vast original reportoire which he delivers with high energy and humor. In 2014, Rob released the longest debut album in music history -- 300 original songs plus 42 bonus tracks, complete with chords and lyrics. A member of PASA since the early days, Rob founded the PASA houseconcert series and the Summer Songfest and is the person to contact for PASA houseconcert bookings. And did we mention he's also a violinist that has appeared on a number of PASA members' CDs?

Katherine Rondeau

Katherine Rondeau is a singer-songwriter who held her first concert on the sidewalk of her suburban NJ home. From sidewalks to the Stone Pony to the 2015 Philly Folk Festival, Katherine's performances are highlighted by her rich, soulful voice and echoing 12-string guitar. After a ten-year hiatus to pursue a doctorate degree, Katherine got wise and reclaimed her true passion -- music. Now an active member of the Philly singer-songwriter scene, her hand-crafted songs are inspired by love, heartache, and the simple complexities of everyday life. Katherine's new CD "Butcher's Daughter" was released in August 2015. From the sassy twang of "Boyish Charms" to the promise of unconditional love "Never Not Love You," her original music captures both the soul and spirit.
