PASA House Concert Series

One of the longest running house concert series in the Philadelphia Area, for more than 20 years, PASA has presented its members in a true house concert setting. Since its creation by Rob Lincoln in 2000, more than 150 different performers have performed as a co-headliner.

Each concert features three PASA members as co-headliners, plus 8 to 12 "Open Chair" performers. Anyone who wants to play an original song can be an Open Chair performer. These shows are in round robin format, one song at a time and the Open Chair slots not only begin the show but also occur at the end of every round. There are usually seven rounds with an intermission in the middle.

Performers:

Nancy Huebner

Nancy Huebner is a native of Philadelphia but has been living in Delaware for several years. She was a classical vocal performance major at Temple University until she took an elective in pop songwriting and decided that was much more fun. Her piano-based songs range from pure musical theater to pop to what has been described as "urban confessional cabaret". She has performed full-length concerts of her pieces and lately has been making appearances at local open mics to showcase new songs.

Ann Ramsey

An accomplished fingerstyle guitar player, Ann Ramsey is a new songwriter from Wilmington, DE. Inspired by traditional story-songs and ballads, she's written dozens of songs since she began in 2022. Her songs are described as "entrancing" and "haunting." Her style is inspired by the work of Richard Thompson, Joan Baez, and Roseanne Cash. Ann is listed on the artists roster of the Delaware Division of the Arts, from which she was awarded Artist Opportunity grants for 2023 and 2025. She's an alum of Eliza Gilkyson's intensive songwriting workshops, and Richard Thompson's Frets and Refrains songwriting camps. She is credited as Harmony Vocals on Jon Burrowes's 2024 second album and is working on her own first solo recording, slated for release in 2025.

Rusty and Jan

Rusty & Jan are William "Rusty" Crowell and Jan Alba. Rusty is an acoustic guitar player with more than 30 years of experience who, in addition to being an excellent interpreter of folk, folk-rock, and many other genres, is a fine songwriter. Jan is a classically trained flutist. Together, they create a unique sound that is better heard than described.
