PASA House Concert Series

One of the longest running house concert series in the Philadelphia Area, for more than 20 years, PASA has presented its members in a true house concert setting. Since its creation by Rob Lincoln in 2000, more than 150 different performers have performed as a co-headliner.

Each concert features three PASA members as co-headliners, plus 8 to 12 "Open Chair" performers. Anyone who wants to play an original song can be an Open Chair performer. These shows are in round robin format, one song at a time and the Open Chair slots not only begin the show but also occur at the end of every round. There are usually seven rounds with an intermission in the middle.

Art Cohen

Art Cohen has been a fixture in the Philadelphia music scene for over 25 years as both a performer and audio engineer. He has performed at concert venues such as The Kyber, The CIMA Gatherings, Penn's Landing, The Gate, Toronto's Ambient Ping, Harrisburg's Whittaker Center, and Pittsburgh's Buhl Planetarium; and in live on-air concerts on WXPN, WPRB, WDIY, and WKDU. Best known as one half of the ambient space music duo Ministry of Inside Things (the other half being Chuck Van Zyl of Stars End), he will be performing a rare acoustic set of his original songs which can range from folk to psychedelic to punk.

Julie Ann Ott

Local Philly artist Julieann Ott describes her style as rootsy pop, jumping styles with a sincerity that honors her influences: Patty Griffin, Ryan Adams, REM. Her original songs are melodic and well crafted; her covers, carefully chosen, are sung with tenderness, power, and an edge, but always with conviction, honesty, and intensity. Vocals, music, and lyrics sweet and nuanced one minute, the next a punch to the gut, and though you might hear some twang, it won't hurt a bit!

Kathy Quinn

Kathy Quinn is a Philly native who has enjoyed playing guitar for some untold number of decades. Thanks to the many talented mentors she has had along the way, it has been a wonderful adventure. She was glued to the radio through most of the 70's, which has shaped her musical sensibilities. She is also a longtime fan of the Grateful Dead and jam bands in general. Some songwriting influences include: Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Hunter-Garcia, Gillian Welch, Dar Williams, John Prine, Richard Thompson, Joni Mitchell, and Jackson Browne. Kathy’s original songs capture many moods, from sentimental reflection to brooding rumination. In addition to playing music, Kathy is a local thespian and improv comedy artist. Since joining PASA, Kathy has been inspired by the welcoming and supportive PASA community to stretch and grow in the necessary journey of writing authentic and heartfelt songs.
