PASA House Concert Series

One of the longest running house concert series in the Philadelphia Area, for more than 20 years, PASA has presented its members in a true house concert setting. Since its creation by Rob Lincoln in 2000, more than 150 different performers have performed as a co-headliner.

Each concert features three PASA members as co-headliners, plus 8 to 12 "Open Chair" performers. Anyone who wants to play an original song can be an Open Chair performer. These shows are in round robin format, one song at a time and the Open Chair slots not only begin the show but also occur at the end of every round. There are usually seven rounds with an intermission in the middle.

	Bob Baldwin Well-known Philly Singer-Songwriter Meghan Cary has written the following about Bob Baldwin-- "Wrapped in sweet folk music, Bob's stories probe the complicated and sometimes elusive emotions underlying everyday events." This will be Bob's debut as a PASA houseconcert co-headliner.
	Mara Levine Called "one of the best singers of her generation" by Christine Lavin, Mara has been creating beautiful interpretations of fine traditional and contemporary folk songs for many years. She has an ear for both new songs and for classics that can be reshaped to sound fresh and new. Her latest CD "Jewels and Harmony" was #1 on the Folk DJ chart for January 2013, and was #3 overall for 2013. It was also named #4 Cover album of 2013 by "Cover Lay Down". Mara will "Cover" the songs of PASA members supported by Dan Schatz. In a very special first time event, Mara has chosen 7 songs by PASA members to perform since she she is not a songwriter. 	Ann Ramsey Ann writes emotive songs that often tell a story, but she hasn't been doing so for very long. A long-time casual guitar player, retirement in 2021 freed her to pursue music with more purpose. She started writing songs in the spring of 2022, enthusiastically joining PASA in the summer. Ann has studied guitar playing under Guy Van Duser, and is currently studying songwriting under Nashville-based recording artist Korby Lenker. Her inspirations include Roseanne Cash, Shawn Colvin, and Judy Collins. Website: soundcloud.com/annramsey
	You: The fourth performer can be YOU! There will be 12 performers chosen for open chair slots who will each sing one original song as part of the concert. This is an extra special OPEN STAGE SHOWCASE OPPORTUNITY. The first 8 people to RSVP on Facebook will be guaranteed an open chair slot. The remaining 4 slots will be chosen randomly from those RSVPing by email. (Please indicate that you want an open chair slot when sending your RSVP.) NOTE: If you are chosen for any of 12 open chair slots, you must join the Zoom meeting at 7:05 PM for sound check.
