PASA House Concert Series

One of the longest running house concert series in the Philadelphia Area, for more than 20 years, PASA has presented its members in a true house concert setting. Since its creation by Rob Lincoln in 2000, more than 150 different performers have performed as a co-headliner.

Each concert features three PASA members as co-headliners, plus 8 to 12 "Open Chair" performers. Anyone who wants to play an original song can be an Open Chair performer. These shows are in round robin format, one song at a time and the Open Chair slots not only begin the show but also occur at the end of every round. There are usually seven rounds with an intermission in the middle.

Performers:

Rick Denzien

Rick Denzien wrote his first song at 16 when he began playing guitar and never stopped. He recorded his first album in Nashville while still in college, and since then has recorded 10 CDs of original music, for which he's won awards, been offered major label deals, hit the Billboard chart, been interviewed on TV and radio, and toured the US and in Europe. Nuances of folk and modern rock can be heard in his slightly edgy Americana Rock style, with many of his songs lyrically inspired by social and environmental issues, as well as profound conditions of the human heart in love, war, family, and the world community. Trained formally as a sound and recording engineer, Rick began his own independent recording label in the 1990s where he has produced and engineered projects with numerous regional and national artists, along with his own music. He has also served as a music conference speaker and panelist and college-level teacher.

David Falcone

David Falcone is a phenomenal guitarist, influenced by and on par with Leo Kotke and Pierre Bensusan in fingerpicking precision and polish. His highly regarded recordings have received rave reviews. He writes instrumentals as well as compelling lyrics, and can a sing a lick too! His original compositions reflect a unique synthesis of Celtic, traditional, and classical sounds and forms. Falcone performs regularly in the Delaware Valley and can be heard on WXPN and WDVR. He teaches psychology at La Salle University.

Reade McCardell

Reade McCardell is an unsigned composer and musician hailing from the Northeastern United States. He has spent time in a handful of bands, crafted incidental music for several independent films, and contributed backing vocals and instrumentation to multifarious albums and shows. The past 6-or-so years have seen him pursuing solo ventures and taking on the role of producer for several recording projects. His first solo full-length album, "Frets", was independently released in 2015 and can be found on iTunes and CD Baby. Reade McCardell is a composer and musician hailing from the Mid-Atlantic. Requisitely, he shared yoke in a handful of bands, crafted incidental music for several independent films, and contributed backing vocals and instrumentation to multifarious albums in his twenties. The past decade and a lustrum have seen him pursuing solo ventures and taking on the role of producer for several recording projects. Reade has worked with a fascinating cast of characters, including, but not limited to: Shelly Yakus (former chief engineer and vice president of A&M Records known for engineering records for the likes of Warren Zevon, Raspberries, and John Lennon), Phil Nicolo (engineering, mixing and/or production BoySetsFire, Foreigner, and The Police), and Glenn Barratt (producer Melody Gardot). His first solo full-length album, "Frets", was independently released in 2015. "Tell Me I'm Wrong", his curious sophomore effort, was deployed in February of 2019.
