PASA House Concert Series

One of the longest running house concert series in the Philadelphia Area, for more than 20 years, PASA has presented its members in a true house concert setting. Since its creation by Rob Lincoln in 2000, more than 150 different performers have performed as a co-headliner.

Each concert features three PASA members as co-headliners, plus 8 to 12 "Open Chair" performers. Anyone who wants to play an original song can be an Open Chair performer. These shows are in round robin format, one song at a time and the Open Chair slots not only begin the show but also occur at the end of every round. There are usually seven rounds with an intermission in the middle.

Performers:

Nancy Huebner

Nancy Huebner is a native of Philadelphia but has been living in Delaware for several years. She was a classical vocal performance major at Temple University until she took an elective in pop songwriting and decided that was much more fun. Her piano-based songs range from pure musical theater to pop to what has been described as "urban confessional cabaret". She has performed full-length concerts of her pieces and lately has been making appearances at local open mics to showcase new songs.

Wes Powers

Wes Powers plays piano, guitar, dulcimer, and a little banjo (unless he's bribed not to!). His lyric-driven songs cover a variety of subjects and moods. He is known for his humorous and oddly light-hearted songs, but also writes heartfelt emotional ones. His songs deal with unique subjects, ranging from quirks of language to geography lessons to malfunctioning spaceships. He can make you laugh with one song and cry with the next.

A four-time People's Choice winner, Wes has appeared on many stages around the Philadelphia area, as well as New York and West Virginia. He is based in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.

Christine Winchester

Christine Winchester is, along with Sharon Abbott, the co-chair of PASA. She has performed solo and in many groups, most notably in the duet Winchester/Perry. Christine's warm stage presence was fined tuned in theatre and her impressive voice has been compared to Karen Carpenter and Carly Simon. Her original songs, performed and written on both guitar and piano, range from confessional folk and funny tunes to more rock influences like singer-songwriter Aimee Mann.
