PASA House Concert Series

One of the longest running house concert series in the Philadelphia Area, for more than 20 years, PASA has presented its members in a true house concert setting. Since its creation by Rob Lincoln in 2000, more than 150 different performers have performed as a co-headliner.

Each concert features three PASA members as co-headliners, plus 8 to 12 "Open Chair" performers. Anyone who wants to play an original song can be an Open Chair performer. These shows are in round robin format, one song at a time and the Open Chair slots not only begin the show but also occur at the end of every round. There are usually seven rounds with an intermission in the middle.

Performers:

Eric Christiansen

Eric Christiansen arrived on this planet in the early 50's, the son of an itinerant aircraft engineer and a farm girl. He eventually settled in southeast Pennsylvania. He always wanted to be a musician, but early on he lacked the patience to master an instrument and settled on singing as his means of expression. He got his first guitar when he was nineteen. He heard a lot of folk music growing up. At the time he didn't realize how much of the music he was listening to came out of the folk scene. He began to write songs in the early 70's, but because of some seriously bad decisions he set aside his music for way too many years and finally came back to it this century.

Dave Fiebert

Singer-songwriter and guitarist Dave Fiebert is a product of the '60s. He and his writing partner, percussionist Walt Haake (now a DJ for WDVR in New Jersey), have been writing songs since 2009. They were classmates and bandmates in the early '70s in college. Their material is influenced by such artists as Cole Porter, Guy Clark, Greg Brown, Dave Olney, and Bob Dylan. You can find Dave playing at the Coffee Beanery in Media, PA, on Tuesday Open Mics, and from May to November playing in rotation at The Swarthmore Farmers Market on Saturday mornings.

Michelle Miller

Michelle Miller is a singer/songwriter who has appeared all over the Philadelphia area. She has performed at venues such as the Mercer Museum Folkfest, Ambler Octoberfest, Please Touch Museum, The Keswick Theater, and schools, colleges, and libraries. Her music is a little country, a little pop, and she loves creating beautiful harmonies on her recordings. During the daytime, Michelle is a children's librarian and presents story times five days a week. She also has created a children's radio show called Miss Michelle's Story Time airing on montcoradio.com every Thursday at 10:30 a.m. which incorporates her favorite stories, her original songs, and popular children's music.
You: The fourth performer can be YOU! There will be 12 performers chosen for open chair slots who will each sing one original song as part of the concert. This is an extra special OPEN STAGE SHOWCASE OPPORTUNITY. The first 8 people to RSVP on Facebook will be guaranteed an open chair slot. The remaining 4 slots will be chosen randomly from those RSVPing by email. (Please indicate that you want an open chair slot when sending your RSVP.)
NOTE: If you are chosen for any of 12 open chair slots, you must join the Zoom meeting at 7:05 PM for sound check.
