PASA House Concert Series

One of the longest running house concert series in the Philadelphia Area, for more than 20 years, PASA has presented its members in a true house concert setting. Since its creation by Rob Lincoln in 2000, more than 150 different performers have performed as a co-headliner.

Each concert features three PASA members as co-headliners, plus 8 to 12 "Open Chair" performers. Anyone who wants to play an original song can be an Open Chair performer. These shows are in round robin format, one song at a time and the Open Chair slots not only begin the show but also occur at the end of every round. There are usually seven rounds with an intermission in the middle.

Performers:

Drew Calvin

Drew Calvin's music is intense, progressive, and explosive! His guitar-pounding energy fills a room until the aircrackles, yet his songs have a comfortable down-home flavor. He has earned praise from Mary Chapin Carpenter, Robin and Linda Williams, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, and Tom Prasada-Rao. Drew was a 2003 winner of the Performing Songwriter contest at Wildflower Festival in Texas, and is a five-time People's Choice winner at the Folk Factory. His artistic inspiration springs from a life lived all over the world in every conceivable life-condition (except rich and famous), and his passion for political and social reform raises his voice against the injustices of that world.

Sharon Goldman

According to WFUV's John Platt, "For the last decade, Sharon Goldman has consistently been one of contemporary folk's most imaginative, warm, and honest singer-songwriters." Raised on Long Island and based in central New Jersey, Goldman is also prolific, with seven solo albums to her credit, including 2019's EVERY TRIP AROUND THE SUN. She is a finalist in the 2019 Connecticut Folk Festival Grassy Hill Songwriting Contest and hosts the twice-monthly Song on the Floor songwriting feedback group in her hometown of Metuchen, NJ.

Maxie Mandel

Maxie Mandel is a 15 year old singer-songwriter from Bryn Mawr, PA, who lets her life flow through her music. A powerhouse vocalist, she plays piano and guitar to write and arrange contemporary songs that transcend any one particular genre.
Maxie was featured in Main Line Today magazine's "Next Gen: 15 Local Leaders Under the Age of 30" for her musical community service work. She is the founder of Maxie's Hot Chocolate House, an annual Main Line event that benefits LiveConnections at World Cafe Live.
You: The fourth performer can be YOU! The first eight (or so) performers to sign up at the show will sing one original song as part of the concert. This is an extra special OPEN STAGE SHOWCASE OPPORTUNITY, so bring along any instruments you'll want to play. The first people to arrive get to sign up first. The open stage slots often fill up, so come early to get a slot.
