PASA House Concert Series

One of the longest running house concert series in the Philadelphia Area, for more than 20 years, PASA has presented its members in a true house concert setting. Since its creation by Rob Lincoln in 2000, more than 150 different performers have performed as a co-headliner.

Each concert features three PASA members as co-headliners, plus 8 to 12 "Open Chair" performers. Anyone who wants to play an original song can be an Open Chair performer. These shows are in round robin format, one song at a time and the Open Chair slots not only begin the show but also occur at the end of every round. There are usually seven rounds with an intermission in the middle.

Performers:

Jennings Durand

Jennings Durand has been writing songs since his father shipped him off to college with an old Gibson and a handwritten list of chords. Now a father of four, Jennings's music has been his way of taking time to relax and reflect, and over the years, his songs have become something of a journal of life experiences and emotions. A singer-songwriter of folk music with hints of blues, bluegrass, and pop, Jennings sings with passion, plays with a driving rhythm, and tries to convey the spirit and emotion of his songs to whoever might be listening -- whether it's his kids or a public audience. One recent listener commented that Jennings is a mash-up of Bob Dylan, Neil Young, John Prine, and John Mellencamp, but Jennings thinks that listener was crazy and vastly overrated Jennings's talents.

Jessica Graae

Jessica Graae blends her folk-rock style and classical training to create haunting, soulful songs. Her evocative, lush, exquisite vocals, accompanied by elegant and impressive guitar playing create a meditative backdrop on her CD Gypsy Blood. Jessica has performed live on Graffiti Radio, Hometown Heroes, at the Brandywine Festival of the Arts, and at the Dewey Beach, Bordentown, and Ladybug Festivals. Nominated for five 2013 WSTW Hometown Hero Homey Awards, Jessica was a 2013 Philadelphia Folk Factory People's Choice contest winner and a 2012 Delmarva Folk Hero contest finalist.
