PASA House Concert Series

One of the longest running house concert series in the Philadelphia Area, for more than 20 years, PASA has presented its members in a true house concert setting. Since its creation by Rob Lincoln in 2000, more than 150 different performers have performed as a co-headliner.

Each concert features three PASA members as co-headliners, plus 8 to 12 "Open Chair" performers. Anyone who wants to play an original song can be an Open Chair performer. These shows are in round robin format, one song at a time and the Open Chair slots not only begin the show but also occur at the end of every round. There are usually seven rounds with an intermission in the middle.

Performers:

Michelle Miller

Michelle Miller is a singer/songwriter who has appeared all over the Philadelphia area. She has performed at venues such as the Mercer Museum Folkfest, Ambler Octoberfest, Please Touch Museum, The Keswick Theater, and schools, colleges, and libraries. Her music is a little country, a little pop, and she loves creating beautiful harmonies on her recordings. During the daytime, Michelle is a children's librarian and presents story times five days a week. She also has created a children's radio show called Miss Michelle's Story Time airing on montcoradio.com every Thursday at 10:30 a.m. which incorporates her favorite stories, her original songs, and popular children's music.

Charles Nolan

Charles Nolan writes songs, writes poems that are more like convoluted stories, and performs both in a dramatic and engaging way that leaves audiences feeling challenged, amused, tickled, occasionally confused, but never bored. He was part of the coffeehouse scene in Greenwich Village in the late 60's, has written over two thousand songs, and is busy working on the next thousand. He is unashamedly urban, occasionally boisterous, usually irreverent and not afraid to quote Shakespeare and the town drunk in the same breath.

Caesar Vescera

Caesar Vescera is a South Jersey songwriter looking to explore the possibilities and stretch the envelope a bit here and there while using art to make the world a better place and make folks less likely to kick the dog. PASA members can attest that Caesar is one of the more adventuresome, energetic, unpredictable, and wildly fun songwriters. (He also occasionally channels a bit of Jim Morrison.)
You: The fourth performer can be YOU! The first eight (or so) performers to sign up at the show will sing one original song as part of the concert. This is an extra special OPEN STAGE SHOWCASE OPPORTUNITY, so bring along any instruments you'll want to play. The first people to arrive get to sign up first. The open stage slots often fill up, so come early to get a slot.
